"The most important thing that can be done if you have migraine is to see a doctor to be sure that there are no physical abnormalities in the brain," says Allan Herskowitz, M.D., a neurologist affiliated with Baptist Health South Florida. How common is migraine?

A Botox treatment for migraine usually involves a total of 31 injections in seven areas - including the forehead, temples, the back of the head, neck and shoulders", adds Dr. Herskowitz. The injection lasts about three months.
"It is important that you see a person duly qualified for injections of Botox, recommends Dr. Herskowitz". Go to a neurologist who is duly certified to do so. Botox has the potential of becoming the predominant treatment for people who suffer from migraine".
